Historic Home & Garden Tour

The Historic Chagrin Falls Home & Garden Tour is one of Northeast Ohio's most anticipated annual events, inviting visitors to explore exceptional private residences and thoughtfully designed landscapes while supporting local preservation efforts.

As part of the featured home experience, I developed and produced a social-first property tour designed to extend the event's reach beyond a single weekend. Through video storytelling, photography, and content strategy, I transformed a beautiful home into a compelling destination narrative, highlighting the property's history, architecture, gardens, and unique character.

The project focused on creating emotional connection through visual storytelling, helping audiences experience the property as more than a house. The resulting content generated strong engagement across social platforms while showcasing how thoughtful storytelling can elevate hospitality, tourism, real estate, and destination-focused experiences.

Welcome to ThornCreek, a charming 1935 Cape Cod tucked away on more than two acres along peaceful Hemlock Point. Beyond a historic Rose Iron Works gate reclaimed from a Cleveland estate, colorful cottage gardens, mature boxwood hedges, and beautiful stone terraces create a landscape that feels straight out of a storybook.

The gardens unfold through raised vegetable beds, espalier apple trees, winding stepping stone paths, and thoughtfully designed outdoor rooms that reveal something new around every corner.

Inside, the home’s original character has been carefully preserved while adapting to modern living. What began as a modest 1,600 square foot cottage has evolved into a rambling 5,000 square foot residence with five bedrooms and four baths. Original millwork, three fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen with coffee bar pantry, vaulted family room, and screened porch overlooking the ravine create spaces that feel both timeless and welcoming.

The primary suite was inspired by the traditional barn structures often found throughout Cape Cod. Vaulted ceilings, reclaimed stained glass windows, custom pocket doors, and treetop views create a private retreat, while the spa inspired bath features natural stone, a wet room shower with floating Brazilian hardwood floor, and a secluded outdoor meditation shower garden.

Beyond the sanctuary doors, the landscape opens to a backyard oasis designed to embrace the property’s dramatic ravine setting. A reclaimed stone patio, relocated piece by piece from a turn of the century Lake Erie estate, serves as the foundation of the outdoor living spaces. Sandstone boulder walls, flowering trees, hydrangeas, perennials, custom cut stone slabs, and reclaimed granite curbstones create a garden that feels both grand and deeply rooted in its surroundings.

Every path, terrace, and garden room seems to belong naturally to the woodland landscape beyond.

ThornCreek Winery & Gardens

Brand Strategy • Hospitality Marketing • Guest Experience • Destination Storytelling

ThornCreek Winery & Gardens was a destination hospitality venue known for its scenic gardens, private events, weddings, wine experiences, and immersive guest atmosphere. Working across marketing, hospitality, and brand development, I helped shape how guests experienced the property both online and in person.

My role focused on storytelling, event promotion, photography, social media content, community partnerships, and guest experience strategy. From showcasing the property's unique event spaces and gardens to supporting weddings, wine experiences, and seasonal programming, I helped position ThornCreek as a sought-after destination for celebrations, hospitality, and memorable experiences.

By combining brand strategy, visual storytelling, and experiential design, I created content and marketing initiatives that strengthened audience engagement, elevated the property's digital presence, and reinforced ThornCreek's reputation as one of Northeast Ohio's distinctive hospitality destinations.
